1. Independent project
CodexSkin is an independent, unofficial project. It is not sponsored, endorsed or operated by OpenAI. Codex and OpenAI names and marks belong to their respective owners.
2. Free builder and packages
The browser builder is provided without charge and without a guarantee that every current or future Codex version will accept a theme or enhanced skin. You are responsible for reviewing an exported package, testing it in your environment and keeping a restore path.
3. Artwork rights
You retain rights to artwork you provide and remain responsible for having permission for the intended use. Gallery previews containing recognizable people, characters, logos or other intellectual property demonstrate visual layouts only; they do not grant a license to reuse or redistribute the underlying subject matter.
4. Engine and installation
The community Dream Skin engine is separate open-source software governed by its repository licenses and notices. Enhanced theming uses local Chrome DevTools Protocol access. You accept the documented local-security tradeoff and agree not to represent a theme package as harmless if you add executable content outside the standard format.
5. Custom design service
The $49 service includes the deliverables listed on the order page and begins after we receive usable, rights-cleared source art and a complete brief. One focused revision is included. New artwork, a new direction, original illustration, additional platforms or broader deployment may require a separate quote.
6. Refunds and cancellation
A custom-service order can be refunded before creative work begins. If no usable, rights-cleared source can be supplied, we can cancel and refund the service. Once the first custom preview has been delivered, payments are generally non-refundable because the principal work is bespoke, except where applicable law requires otherwise or we fail to deliver the agreed scope.
7. Platform change and liability
Codex updates may change compatibility. Restore stock before diagnosing a broken skin. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site, exports and community engine are provided without warranties, and liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to a claim.
